Other Classroom Norms for Room 8
- No eating or drinking of food in class (mainly due to the fact we are doing lots of labs and activities)
- Do not sharpen your pencil while others are speaking or instructions are being delivered (how is anyone supposed to hear over that?)
- Raise your hand to speak or get the teachers attention (it is difficult to understand who is talking or asking for help when there are 20 voices all at once)
- Also TRY before asking for help! You never know what you do know
- Do-Now time is quiet time and is independent unless asked for. It is only graded on completion and effort, not on accuracy so take guesses or look back in notes or the book
- When you are done with stuff, it is NOT an invitation to begin talking! Only if you are told to do so! Other people are still working!
- Only positive attitudes please, science is supposed to be fun and engaging!
